Websters definition of Remembrance is this…” Something that is done or made to honor the Memory of a person, thing or event.
I was on Facebook last night, and found this quote…I do not know who wrote it, but I used this, because it was last night that I thought of what I was going to write about today. I am Remembering the events of this day, and we were is a Safe House the day the horrible events took place…but this is not the only thing I am Remembering today…as years later (4 to be exact) I lost someone who was like Family to me, who was taken much too soon….not unlike those in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania on this day 14 years ago (the quote was from last year)…so We remember, give thanks, mourn, pray, cry, Honor, all those who gave their lives, helped others, suffered loss, and much, much more.
This is a day of Remembrance!
I am writing today to remember, but Pictures are worth a thousand words…they say, and I tend to agree…so I will be using many pictures to help us all remember this day, and I pray that we can all come together every day, as we did on that day, and put aside our differences, get along, Love each other as Human Beings were intended to do.
I used pictures I found on google…so, I left the site I found them on to show who I got them from…if they are not originally from those people, I hope they gave credit to the ones who took them…I believe you should give credit where it is due..
I know there is controversy surrounding that day…but no matter what… Those who have lost loved ones, lives, who gave without thought to themselves, helped, watched, mourned, and all the needless suffering, is NOT in contention…that is why we remember this day!
