Catching Up

So much has happened since my last post.  Our house has been through it’s share of ups and downs during the first part of 2016.

My hope was that the New Year would bring new and wonderful change.  I was right, change did happen…some new and not so wonderful, and some new and wonderful.

We must take the good with the bad.

The children I have still living here…lost jobs, one is back full time and the other is part time, so things are a bit better along those lines.  I am still looking for something to do that will make money for the house, while being in the house, due to not being able to venture outside for any extended period of time.  It is very frustrating.

Illness came back with a vengence, and we all had our share.  I not only had the sick, but injuries from beatings I took, came back to haunt me.  My back…that was broken and never fixed (healed wrong), has been giving me fits…the Doctors want to put metal rods on each side of my spine…not something I want to venture into right now…so…I will deal with things, until I can no longer function, then do the surgery.

On the Wonderful side….My oldest is getting married in March and with that union comes a grandchild….WOW!  It is an amazing thing to think, that I am now a grandmother, and I must say, it is Fantastic.  Children are such good medicine.  I forgot what it was like to have a 2nd grader in the house.  To re-visit the imagination, energy, and pure innocence, is an amazing thing.  Brings back memories of when mine were that age.

It is also a Huge incentive to work that much harder, to get out into this amazing world, so I can share the adventures a child that age brings.

So…if anyone out there has any ideas on how to bring money into my home, without leaving it…I would be grateful for the suggestions.

Looking for work, like Snoopy…Thank you Mr. Schulz for this one!

I am also open to suggestions and comments on how to better deal with the PTSD and all its vile ways.

I hope 2016 is being good to you all, and I am grateful to all of you for hearing me!

I Love my Family and Friends, and want you all to know I appreciate all the support and help you give.

Thanks to all my Blog followers for hanging in there and being patient with my posts.  I appreciate you reading and Hearing, along with the comments.

I thank God above all for always being there for me, and may He Bless all of you!

Yes it is hard…and seems like a never-ending stretch of road with no way out…and at times, it takes every ounce of strength we have to just get through the day.

But we can do it….we can do anything we set our minds to…I know…I’ve lived through some monstrous times in my life, and I am still here Blogging about it.

Oh it has been a long and scary road, still is, at this time of year especially.  I am constantly reminded of many of my Deamons…those that still lurk just beyond my control.  I am though, working on them and will continue to do so. Until one day…my monsters will only be the cute…

wpid-screenshot_2015-09-30-01-51-52_1.jpg  pretend ones we see on cartoons, and the fun witches, ghosts and goblins that come to the door each Halloween night…

When the Jack-O-Lanterns are carved…

and Treats abound…

Or we watch the scary movies on T.V. or in the theatres…

They are the only monsters I want to have in my life…and only once a year…Not all year-long.

Lets keep fighting the all the Monsters in our lives… Have a Safe and Fun October!

Thanks for Hearing!

What an ominous word…Obstacle.  It conjures up images of all things big and small that litter our paths each day.  Trying to keep us from the task at hand, our goals, or just plain living each day.

But we all have the ability, the stamina, the wherewithal if you will, to overcome anything life throws at us.  We just have to Believe in ourselves enough to, pick ourselves up, brush off our failures, and keep going.  That is the key…Never Give Up!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best….

You see, obstacles are put there to do a number of things, i.e., slow us down, make us take a detour we do not wish to take, break us completely, or be a test.

wpid-screenshot_2015-09-21-13-32-59.jpg   wpid-screenshot_2015-09-21-13-32-36_1.jpg

Whatever the obstacle is in your life, whatever pain you are going through, all the daily trials you are facing… you can make it through…

The road is not promised to be easy…but the end result is worth it.  Especially if you make it through a particularly difficult obstacle.  Those difficult ones are the hardest to overcome, and the most EXHILARATING, when they are completed.

Today, I went through an obstical…a tiny one…pebble, you could say. But for me, it felt like a boulder had been placed in my path.

Thankfully, I was able to work through it, find a way around the bolder, and when I came around to the other side and looked back…it felt so good, and yes, from the other side, I could see it was just a few small stones, chained together to create the illusion of being Huge.

We all have obstacles in our daily life, but with faith and a belief in yourself, and for me, through the Grace of God…we can come through them better people.  We can learn from them and continue to make better lives for ourselves and the others that walk with us along our journey through this life.

Good luck with your obstacles…and remember…You are being Heard!

Thanks for Hearing!

I just had to put the above quote first.  I keep kicking myself for not posting for a few days, then as I realize, some of my favorite bloggers…the ones that I follow regularly…don’t always blog every day….What are the reasons?

I know that bloggers don’t blog 24-7, at least most…I would assume.  We all have lives that somehow get in the way (Ha, Ha), although for some of us, it is not a laughing matter…Life, or the lack of it, does creep in now and then to take away all we set out to do in a day.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the things that take us away from writing, are good, fun things…yes, even I have been known to have a good time now and then.  But other times it is hard to focus on what needs to be done.

This week alone I had a family member in the hospital…so some of my time had been worrying about them, and today…I go a long distance…in a car…(worry, worry), because my Mom is having surgery, and of course I want to be there.  So that has taken up a bit of my time.  I know, through the Grace of God, all will be well with both family members.  But that does not take away the anxiety and fear you have for loved ones who are suffering.

So…The quote above, about not letting a bad day tarnish everything was very appropriate to this situation…and I have to remember, as many of us do, that these little setbacks are only stepping stones…a pathway, if we let them be…to better things.

With that…I will end for today, and be back tomorrow. To take a few more steps in the right direction!

Thanks again for Hearing!
